This Privacy Policy explains how LA Global LLC ("LA Global," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit our website, contact us, complete our readiness diagnostic, subscribe to our insights, or otherwise engage with us as a prospective or current client.
It applies to our website and our general business communications. It does not govern information we process on behalf of a client under an engagement agreement — see Client and engagement data below.

We collect only what we need to respond to you and run our advisory practice.

Our readiness diagnostic runs in your browser. Your answers are not transmitted to us unless you choose to send them via our contact form.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, our hosting provider and any analytics tools we use may record technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages viewed, and time of visit. See our Cookie Policy for detail on cookies and similar technologies.
Information from other sources
We may review publicly available information about your organization — company websites, public filings, press coverage, professional networking profiles — as part of preparing for a conversation or evaluating an engagement.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive categories of personal information such as health data, biometric data, precise geolocation, or government identifiers through this website.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or third parties for their own marketing purposes, and we do not use your information to train artificial intelligence models.

- Legitimate interests — responding to business enquiries, running and marketing a professional services practice, securing our systems, and evaluating prospective engagements, where those interests are not overridden by your rights
- Performance of a contract — delivering services and administering an engagement with you or your organization
- Consent — where you subscribe to communications or accept non-essential cookies; you may withdraw consent at any time
- Legal obligation — meeting tax, accounting, regulatory, and record-keeping requirements
Client and engagement data
Our advisory work regularly involves confidential client material — including first-party audience data, content archives, operational metrics, licensing terms, and board-level strategic information.
This policy does not govern that material. Information we receive or process in the course of an engagement is governed by the engagement agreement, statement of work, confidentiality agreement, or data processing agreement executed with that client. In most engagements the client is the data controller and LA Global acts as a processor or independent controller as specified in those agreements.
Where our work involves personal data — for example, audience datasets reviewed as part of an O&O data strategy or data licensing assessment — we handle it strictly on documented client instruction, apply confidentiality and access controls, and return or delete it at the conclusion of the engagement in accordance with the applicable agreement.
Advisory deliverables that assess the commercial value or licensability of a data asset are commercial guidance, not a legal determination of rights. Rights, licensing, and privacy compliance questions should be confirmed with qualified counsel. See our Disclaimer.
How long we keep information
We retain personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described above, then delete or anonymize it. As general guidance:
- Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement — up to 24 months from last contact
- Client relationship records — for the duration of the engagement and up to 7 years afterwards, to meet professional, contractual, tax, and limitation-period requirements
- Engagement materials containing client data — per the applicable engagement or data processing agreement
- Marketing subscriptions — until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record so we honor your opt-out
- Website analytics — per the retention settings of the tools described in our Cookie Policy
How we protect information
We maintain administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold. These include encrypted transmission, access controls limiting information to personnel who need it, multi-factor authentication on business systems, vendor due diligence, and confidentiality obligations binding everyone who works with us.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and any relevant regulator as required by applicable law.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Delete your personal information, subject to our legal and contractual retention obligations
- Port your information to another provider in a structured, machine-readable format
- Object to or restrict processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Opt out of marketing at any time, using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, email legal@laglobal.io. We will respond within the period required by applicable law — generally 30 days, extendable where a request is complex. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
If your request concerns data we process on behalf of a client, we will direct you to that client, who is responsible for responding as the controller.
California residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, California residents have the rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information.
In the preceding 12 months we have collected the categories of information described in Information we collect — identifiers, professional or employment-related information, commercial information relating to services enquired about, and internet activity information — for the business purposes described in How we use information.
We have not sold or shared personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA, and we do not do so. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a right to limit. You may exercise your rights by emailing legal@laglobal.io. You may use an authorized agent, subject to verification.
International transfers
LA Global is based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. These jurisdictions may not offer the same level of data protection as your home country.
Where we transfer personal information from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, together with supplementary measures where required. Children's privacy
Our website and services are directed at business professionals and are not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact legal@laglobal.io and we will delete it.
